We can only live in one moment – in the present moment – now. We can get absorbed in this moment, enjoy life or feel sad or what we want to feel at each moment. Even if you live in this moment, it’s good to plan the future and learn from the past. But don’t get stuck to it.
The present is like a bridge across the river. You are on the bridge and along the river big tree trunks and small branches are floating under the bridge. If you stick to past events, it’s like the big tree trunks would be jammed under the bridge. Sometimes somebody has told me that he hates another man because the other man was promoted instead of him… 20 years ago. What? Have you carried it with you for 20 years and gave another man the power of your feelings. Every time you see him, you get angry. Please do not! 20 years, cannot be true. Do you let someone determine what you feel? Forgive him and continue your life.
Similarly, when you worry about the future. How often have you lost your night’s sleep in vain because you have been worried about the future? It’s behind the bend of the river and when it comes to the bridge you can enjoy a new experience. However, sometimes it may be good to have Plan B, if something surprisingly comes, but don’t use your night’s sleep to worry about it. Plan and go through the matter and then leave it alone. Do something if it requires something. Don’t use time to worry. Live in this moment, enjoy life, you just have this moment to enjoy. Don’t feel guilty in vain. If you’ve done wrong, apologize and forgive yourself. No one is perfect, I, not you or anyone else. You are sufficient as you are. You get permission to be your own imperfect you.
Take a deep breath and you are actually in the present moment – welcome to Now!
